My CD went on sale on CDbaby.com. My debut album is released!

I do realize that it's really not a big deal to the world at large. But this is a personal milestone to me. I've been thinking about this day for many years, thinking this is something I have to do -- if I don't, I'm going to die regretting it -- yet I put it off, made excuses, ran away. The important stuff in your life are the ones you're running away from. If it was as easy as turning on a TV, we wouldn't have this many unhappy people in the world.

Well, I conquered my fears, poured everything I got (then some) into making this music, and now it is available for the world. My work here as the creator is complete. I've accomplished this mission.

Of course, my role as the promoter of my music is barely getting started. But my calling lies first and foremost in creating. So now that I have created it, I'm going to move on to the next thing I need to create. I'll do what I can to promote it, sure. And don't get me wrong -- I dream of playing this material live with a killer band, in front of audience who appreciates it. That'll be the ultimate. But as far as pursuing some kind of success with my music, that part is really not up to me. My job is to create and present. You can decide whether it's of any value or not. I know its value to me, and that will forever stay with me.
