Kasi,

No, we don't plan on doing any work in natural building ourselves in the near future. We have our hands full with raising our 2 kids, and that is one of the main reasons why we sold the land and the cob house we built. But we still know a lot of people in Austin's natural building community, so if you want to send me an e-mail from the contact form, then I'll get you in touch with others.

Ari Koinuma:

Rory and Marianne,

Sorry for the lateness of this response. I do have a Flickr gallery of the cob house. Good luck with your efforts!

Hello. I live in Austin and am currently finishing up a natural building apprenticeship. I found your site on the Natural Building Network website. I was curious if you are planning on doing any more work in the natural building field or know of people who are involved. I am truly passionate about natural building and want to delve into it as much as I can and as soon as I can. If you have any advice or comments please feel free to email me. By the way, your style of music sounds great and I would like to check out some of the films you did scores for. Talk to you soon.

Hello from Gitmo Bay! We're school teachers who've been wandering around the world for way too many years. Soon, this summer in fact, we'll site-prep and then start building our rock/cob/timberframe ~retirement~ home on 6 acres of Hill Country land between Wimberley and Driftwood (~15 mi. west of San Marcos). The Natural Building Network indicates you're in the Austin area and have a cob house (like Zuker's, another central TX cob builder, who we've also found online). If you have photos (and advice, caveats, etc.) of your efforts, please forward. Thank you :)

Great site, interesting comments about the evolution of a person's thought process. I agree, it has happened to me.

I like blogs because they help keep scattered friends and family in touch.
